Skin Health
Skin problems come from the inside. Toxicity, gut imbalances, food allergies, and nutrient deficiencies can ruin your skin health. Once you address these issues, your skin has a good chance of getting better.
Your skin makes up 10 percent of your body weight and is one of your most important detoxification organs. Not only does it keep toxins from getting inside your body, but it releases toxins from inside your body too (through sweating, for example). Skin problems like rashes, acne, psoriasis or rosacea can be a sign that your body is producing a lot of toxins and overwhelming your skin’s capacity to deal with them.
Skin problems can ruin your quality of life and sap your confidence. In a bid to get rid of them quickly, most people address the outside (with creams, lotions and oils) and ignore the problem on the inside, which is where it started. In my experience, almost everyone with a skin disorder has a gut imbalance. As your gut and your skin are inextricably linked by something called the gut-skin axis, that makes sense.
Research
Research has proven strong links between skin issues and gut barrier dysfunction (known as leaky gut), SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth), and dysbiosis. When your skin is breaking out, it’s asking for your help.
